Georgia Tech Activities
I am basically a Georgia Tech "lifer", having received both my Bachelor's and Ph.D. degrees from GT and then spending nearly all of my career since then employed at GT. From 1982-2001 I was with the Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI), the applied R&D arm of Georgia Tech (with a few years at Lockheed-Martin and on loan from GT to DARPA mixed in there). After teaching part-time and serving as an adjunct professor in Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) on a regular basis for several years, I moved to ECE full time in 2002.
I officially retired from full-time work at Georgia Tech in 2013, but continued to work there part-time in the following capacities:

I officially retired from full-time work at Georgia Tech in 2013, but continued to work there part-time in the following capacities:
- A limited amount of independent research in select topics in basic radar signal processing, with the primary emphasis on development of materials for inclusion in professional education courses and future publications
- Administrative support of the ECE research program, including tracking and analysis of research awards and proposals and resolution of deliverables issues
- Occasional seminars and teaching on the topic of finding research funding and writing research proposals
In 2021 I fully retired from GT.
